A youth football coach in western Pennsylvania is accused of assaulting an official in front of young kids.In a game conducted by the Western Pennsylvania Youth Football League, Trevor Yeager, 34, of Masontown, approached a game official, chest-bumped him and attempted to choke him, school police say.Players in the game were children in kindergarten, first, and second grade.
It was played at the Albert Gallatin Area High School football field in Fayette County, although the game was not sanctioned by the school district.Someone in attendance recorded the incident, which happened Sunday, Oct. 1, and shared with school police for the Albert Gallatin Area School District.Yeager is charged with assaulting a sports official, harassment, and has been banned from the Western Pennsylvania Youth Football League.
