Youri Tielemans odds on to seal move back to the Premier League after Leicester relegation
Newcastle have also been linked with a move for the Belgian, with the Magpies also looking to improve and bolster their squad in preparation for European football.
The Magpies' midfield was impressive this season with Bruno Guimaraes at the base of it, but lacks depth and experience playing in Europe, which Tielemans would be able to provide. Liverpool finished outside the top four for the first time since 2016, and their midfield looks set to have a major overhaul this summer with the departures of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, James Milner and Naby Keita, all players in Tielemans' position.
