Visitors to the Flight 93 National Memorial participate in a memorial service by opening the Flight 93 Heroes flag on the 21st anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks in Shanksville, Pa.On Sunday, Sept. 11, I thought of those 40 courageous people aboard United Airlines Flight 93 who wrestled for control of their airplane with the four terrorists and crashed into a Pennsylvania field; therefore, avoiding the destruction of the U.S. Capitol.
Stop defending former President Donald Trump. As a sitting president, he incited an insurrection against the very seat of our democracy. He rejected the rule of law. This is not what a patriot would do. I have known columnist Cary Clack has a way with words, but his column on Beto O’Rourke’s “profanity” was beyond eloquent. Clack stated that the heckler, who laughed during a speech by Beto was the one using profanity. I agree and thank Clack for his insight.
