A report on Monday indicated that the Virginia Republican was thinking about joining the race after he initially planned to stay out of it.However, Dave Rexrode, a senior adviser to Youngkin and the chairman of the pro-Youngkin Spirit of Virginia PAC, steered readers away from the report on Tuesday.
In the report from Axios alleging Youngkin's renewed interest, donors, GOP strategists, an aide, and a source"close to Youngkin" are cited. The Virginia governor has left many confused as he claims to be focused on the state but avoids outright denying reports that he will be running in 2024."I'm going to be working in Virginia this year," he added. He didn't say anything about next year, though.
