In an exhibition game this afternoon in Phoenix, Arizona, against the Chicago Cubs, the Major League Baseball team that holds Young's rights, he came up to bat in the top of the first inning, batting fourth, with two men on base. After going down two strikes, Young worked pitcher Justin Steele to a 3-2 count and then drove a pitch into the right field gap to the fence for a double that scored both runs.
