'They are unprofessional': Amapiano stars Young Stunna and DJ Kabza De Small allegedly slapped with a pricey lawsuit.
Amapiano sensation Young Stunna – real name Sandile Msimango and Kabza de Small’s record company, Piano Hub have been slapped with a lawsuit of R1 million by a music promoter after failing to keep their end of the deal in September 2022,According to the publication, Young Stunna is said to be contracted under the record label owned by Kabelo Petrus Motha –real name.
Young Stunna was said to have received R40 000 payment to share the stage with Amapiano rising star Mfana Kah Gogo, however left fans high and dry when he never pitched for the gig. The event promoter is also said to have spent R8 000 for the star’s transportation, R2 500 on the stage, R2 500 on sound, R3 500 on security, R1 000 on lighting, R3 500 on a tent, R7 5000 on furniture, and R7 500 on Young Stunna’s hospitality rider among others, as seen in the court documents seen by the publication.
Earlier this year, DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small were also put on blast by event promoters who complained that they had extremely high hospitality riders and booking fees, however also hardly pitch to gigs, “We have the Amapiano artists that hardly pitch for events. They complain about flights, they are unprofessional and demand expensive alcohol that costs more than the booking,” a Botswana promoter, Leko Kenosi, said during this year’s South African Creative Conference.
