SINGAPORE: A young Singaporean recently took to the online forum r/askSingapore to express her frustration over her dad’s refusal to seek psychiatric help for her mum’s deteriorating mental health.
Her dad also mentioned that she shouldn’t worry about her mum’s behavior since her grandmother also acted the same way. One Redditor recommended taking immediate action by going directly to a polyclinic for an assessment and then getting a referral to a specialist or hospital. He added, “You can just bring her. Don’t wait, just go.”
A third Redditor suggested a different approach, saying, “How about going to FSC and have them come to your house for a visitation instead? They could possibly help your family understand the situation better.”
