Brandon Love, 20, has suffered two attacks by different gangs while walking in Cumbernauld.
A young man with autism has been left too scared to walk through his Scots hometown after he was attacked twice. Brandon Love, 20, was left battered and bruised outside Bar Yellow on Tweed Walk in Cumbernauld after a group of teens set upon him on December 10, 2021.
Brandon, who revealed he was fearing for his life, said: "I was at my sister's house and I told her I was heading off home. I left for the bus stop in Cumbernauld. As soon as I got to the bottom of the stairs there was a group of boys and two or three girls. "I asked them to go away and one of them said they would get a blade. I was worried that I was going to die. They kept trying to provoke me. I was holding my skateboard and one of them tried to grab it so I Iifted it up and it hit him in the arm. I explained that I didn't mean it but it was getting more heated.
"I didn't choose to be autistic but I was made this way and there is nothing I can do about it. They targeted me for something I can't change about myself."
