Will Jones was discovered by his mum Sharon after she arrived home from work.
A family has been left 'devastated' after a young dad went to sleep and never woke up. Will Jones was found "cold in his bedroom" at his home on King Street in Wallasey on June 2. The 26-year-old was discovered by his mum Sharon after she arrived home from work that evening.
Addressing Mr Jones's family who attended the court proceedings, he said: "He didn't suffer. He didn't die a horrible death, he died in his sleep." Toxicology results showed evidence of prescribed medication at "therapeutic levels" as well as a "slightly elevated level of morphine", however there was no evidence of covid.
He said: "William had been on opiates for some time and therefore would have acquired some tolerance and he may have needed a higher level than most people would normally have."
