The youngster was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee for treatment alongside a 44-year-old woman after their Toyota Yaris collided with a Transit van near Forfar on Wednesday.
A police investigation has been launched after a woman and an eight-year-old boy were left injured after a two vehicle crash near Forfar.
Officers closed the road for more than three hours after a white Ford Transit van had collided with a red Toyota Yaris. The female driver of the car, 44, and the young boy were taken by ambulance to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who have relevant dash cam footage to come forward.“Officers are appealing for anyone who saw what happened, or who has relevant dash cam footage of the area at the time, to contact police.
