It’s a chance for players to prove themselves to their coaches going one-on-one against the best on the team.Stump wants to see his Eagles develop competitive toughness.“You look to see how they respond because they’re not going to be doing everything right you know and they’re going to make a mistake,” Stump said. “It’s how do they respond afterwards that we want to see. Can they move onto the next play and handle adversity? We have a standard here and we don’t do anything less.
Their ceiling is really high for them so, there’s that expectation level for them that is going to be even higher for them as juniors. Just because you played varsity last year doesn’t mean you get a free pass. Everything is earned here.”
