Here are today\u0027s Ottawa Sun letters to the editor.

Come on, people. Stop behaving like miscreants! Mask up! You know the facts. You’ve been told by qualified experts. Far more qualified than you. Your ill behaviour is hurting and killing people. Don’t wait for Dougie to tell you to. He’s too concerned with being liked. He’s spending your money to just benefit his own selfish plans.

We have got to end this pandemic that has lasted far too long. Without masking, it’s not going to happen. This is not a pandemic problem, it is a health care crisis that includes physical, mental and addiction health, and nursing homes. Having direct contact with our health care these past couple of months as a patient and as a loved one of a senior, I can vouch our system is totally broken and in horrible shape.

The federal government covers only about 22 per cent of health-care costs and the rest is up to provincial and territorial governments. This is totally wrong; health care affects all of us no matter where we live and who we are in this country. The provincial governments have requested the federal government to increase its contribution to 35 per cent.

I believe that in the shape that we are in now that the feds should increase it to 60 per cent and for all to use some common sense. If the feds would stop giving money to other countries or in the name of climate change perhaps they would have some money for their own people to help them out of this crisis. This affects all of us, no matter where we live in this country or how young or old we are.Trudeau travels the world giving out our money without even caring what Canadians think.
