You have nothing but my greatest respect, Mr. Ford, for the ways you have dealt with the many major challenges tossed on your doorstep during the past years of COVID-19 and economic crisis. Hopefully, you remain with us to carry us forward into an area where the light is the brightest.
The RCMP, OPP and Ottawa Police Service have all indicated they saw no need for the EMA since all normal lawful means of dealing with the “Freedom Convoy” had not been exhausted. CSIS and the RCMP had conducted an extensive threat and risk assessment determining this protest did not pose a threat to national security that is needed before the EMA is invoked. Therefore Trudeau seems to have been acting out of fear and politics and needs to be firmly reprimanded.
