Sean Ferry was arrested in relation to another matter just before midnight on May 7 and was being taken to London Road police office when he began to kick-off.Prosecutor Laura Martin said: “He was inflicting injury on himself by knocking his head off cell doors and violently kicking and punching the doors.
“He made the following remarks, ‘I’ll remember your face, I’ll get you’, ‘you bunch of s**tbags’, ‘I’m going to punch f**k out both of yous, she’ll get slapped then you’ll get slapped’.“He stated ‘what is your name? It’ll be Mohammed’, ‘you’re a p**i’, and ‘you’re one of the Asians aren’t you’.Ferry, of Govan, appeared from custody.
His lawyer said: “He appreciates the conduct was reprehensible. Alcohol was taken. That’s certainly not an excuse, but it serves as an explanation.Sheriff Allan Findlay revealed Ferry had been in custody for nearly two months. He sentenced him to three months and 14 days in prison, backdated to May 9 when he was first remanded.
