YFM new drama series to intrigue listeners’ imagination
Tequila AF, created and directed by YFM content producer Lumko Johnson, will be exclusive to the YFM app. It will bring a storyline of murder and explores themes of friendship, loyalty and mental illness.
“As young people we love stories, regardless of how they come. People share their stories on YouTube, we listen to podcasts and series, so I think stories allow us to have a moment of escape from our lives and focus on someone else’s life.” Digital manager Hilton Tarrant said research has shown an undeniable demand among younger audiences for this kind of content. Tarrant said:“YFM has been deliberate in ensuring we enter the podcast space with something unique and not simply a repurposing of what we produce on air.”
Episodes will also be available on Thursdays on all major podcast platforms, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify and Google Podcasts.
