Ryan 'Barney' Barnett now lives within the walls of the Tower of London with his familyOne of the Tower of London's newest recruits has said he is "pinching himself every day" since landing the role of a Beefeater.
He and his family now live within the walls of the Tower of London, looking out onto the tower itself. YW Barnett, who is one of 35 Beefeaters, said he did not know where to begin to apply for the role, until a friend spotted an online advert and sent it to him. Mr Barnett served for nearly 26 years in the Royal Navy within the Fleet Air Arm and Yeovil has been his home since he joined the Navy aged 18.Now YW Barnett works at one of the oldest and most historic buildings in the country.
