It comes into force on Sunday, with highs of 22C forecast for earlier in the weekend
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning covering parts of Northern Ireland later this weekend. The alert has been issued for Co Derry , Co Fermanagh , Co Tyrone , and parts of Co Armagh .
The thunderstorm warning will come into force at 11am and will remain in force until 7pm. The forecaster said: "Slow moving, heavy showers with a risk of isolated thunderstorms may develop over the west of Northern Ireland from late on Sunday morning."Many areas will miss the heaviest showers altogether, but a few places could see 30-40 mm in the space of an hour or two, possibly accompanied by some hail.Earlier in the weekend, a maximum temperature of 21C is predicted on Friday.
And for Saturday, May 11, the Met Office said: "The day will begin dry and bright but cloud will thicken in the west from the afternoon. Maximum temperature 22C." This high is forecast for areas including Derry, Ballymena, and Portrush.
