Former Yankees third baseman still doesn't have a fan in this Hall of Famer
Hall of Fame outfielder Vladimir Guerrero reveals why he's no fan of Yankees legend Alex Rodriguez. Dominican reporter Yancen Pujols published a video on YouTube in which Guerrero details why he doesn’t like the former infielder. It all stems from an interaction they had during the 2005 All-Star game in Detroit.“Alex Rodriguez did something to me that I didn’t like,” Guerrero said. “I’m with my mother at the All-Star game in Detroit, and he didn’t greet my mother.
“Jeter came over and greeted her and didn’t do that,” Guerrero said. “So I told him, ‘You may have a truckload of money, but we both s*** the same.’”Another custom among Dominican players is to send the visitors’ clubhouse food. But Rodriguez accused Guerrero of not doing that while the Yankees played the Angels, which Guerrero denied.
After his Hall of Fame career, Guerrero retreated to the Dominican Republic. That’s where, despite earning millions of dollars in his career, he blends in with his community, often seen playing dominoes on the streets, alongside his paisanos.
