Yanga chief on support in SA: 'You saw against Marumo...'
A Young Africans chief has commented on the support the Tanzanian side has in South Africa ahead of their crunch CAF Confederation clash against Mamelodi Sundowns on Friday.
The anticipation for the second leg of the CAF Champions League quarter-final between Sundowns and Yanga is building quickly after the visitors landed at OR Tambo International Airport on Tuesday, ahead of the match on Friday.The two teams are deadlocked after they could not be separated in the first leg last Saturday, playing out to a 0-0 draw at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
Nevertheless, the club's chief executive officer, Andre Mtine, is optimistic about the support his side will have in South Africa following their previous visit to the country for a continental tie against now-relegated Gallants in 2023. Club manager Miguel Gamondi, meanwhile, is bullish about his side's chances ahead of the second leg on Friday.
