March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, and the Cancer Wellness Foundation of Central Alabama is once again kicking off its ‘Women in Blue’ campaign!
WSFA's own Julia Avant is participating in this year's campaign to raise money for the Cancer Wellness Foundation of Central Alabama!MONTGOMERY, Ala. -
WSFA 12 News has a long tradition of participating in the campaign. Previous years included representatives like anchor Sally Pitts and meteorologist Amanda Curran. For 2024, reporter Julia Avant is taking part in this worthy cause!Colon cancer is the second most commonly occurring cancer in women and the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths in both men and women. It claims the lives of an estimated 53,000 people each year, according to the American Cancer Society.
