The name “Etive” comes from a river in the West Scottish Highlands, and the cars are equipped with all the latest EV technology. Power comes fromwith an estimated range of 200 miles per charge according to the WLTP test cycle. In addition, the Mach-E hearse can be readily recharged from 10 per cent to 80 per cent on the fly at any public charging station in just 38 minutes.
Versions of the electric hearse and limousine will be made available to funeral homes in the U.K. and the rest of Europe in left- and right-hand-drive configurations. The company expects the vehicles will be test-drive-ready in summer.It’s still unclear how much the vehicle has been modified, outside of the obvious bodywork. However, speculation suggests the rear motor was likely moved back, on account of the new rear-axle placement.
