The route is expected to reach all four corners of Union Pacific's 23-state travel system and will include a stop in Utah's very own Salt Lake City.Big Boy No. 4014 weighs in at 1.1 million pounds. A total of 25 of these giants were manufactured to haul heavy cargo across state lines during WWII. The first was delivered in 1941.
The last time Salt Lake City received a visit from Big Boy No. 4014 was in 2019, just after it was restored in celebration of the 150th anniversary of the transcontinental railroad's completion.
