Former Bulls and Junior Boks prop Pierre Schoeman turned down other offers to sign a contract extension that will keep him in Edinburgh until 2028.
The 30-year-old Affies old boy has become a popular player in the Scottish capital since joining Edinburgh from the Bulls in 2018, making more than 120 appearances for the club with earning 37 caps for Scotland since his debut in 2021.
“I’m truly honoured to be staying for at least another three years,” Schoeman said. “My wife Charissa and I have loved every minute of our time here in Scotland, and this is home for us now. There were other clubs interested, but I have unfinished business here. “I look around the changing room and there is so much talent. We’re a family here, and I genuinely couldn’t be happier to have resigned.”“Pierre has developed into a world-class prop and is a fantastic example for all our younger players,” he said. “He gives 100% every day and is fully committed to making himself and the team better.”
Schoeman’s re-signing follows that of fellow South African-born Scotland international Duhan van der Merwe, underlining Edinburgh’s ambition to retain top talent amid growing interest.Whether you're traveling to catch a rugby game or just looking for a reliable ride, finding the right car is crucial.
