Get ready for some sunshine and a little heat
It felt like last week's damp, cool weather would never leave. However, a large area of high pressure has moved into Northeastern Ontario and will be a game-changer for the week ahead. So get ready for some sunshine and a little heat.
This weather pattern will stall out for at least another week to bring some much-needed stretch of nice weather. The only foreseeable hiccup could be that we see enough heat that a few afternoon showers develop from daytime heating. That risk is greatest for areas inland away from the water. The sunny weather continues into tomorrow and Wednesday, with daytime highs reaching 20°C. We might see an isolated inland shower on Wednesday due to daytime heating.
Thursday and Friday will be mostly sunny, with temperatures in the low to mid-twenties. There's a good chance that this good weather will continue right through this coming weekend.
