Originally from Ontario, Robidoux said he always loved seeing the dragon head poking up from the water of the lake. For the longest time, he didn't know who was responsible for it until he started looking into it and found out about the Snow family, who have been putting out versions of the dragon for years. The latest iteration is named Emily.“I talked with Krista Snow, she's all for it. She said that I would have help putting it in and taking it out because of ice. . . .
“We have to because it's going to be some nice piece of work and dragons in this lake in the past have been stolen, so we're going to have to do it because, once again, it's 2022, and that's what we have to do to have nice things.” “I want it to be a little more pronounced. I want people to be able to see it from the road a lot better. And I'd like to see — it's 2022 — I'd like to see a little bit fancier dragon.”“We're a destination city. I think people come here because it's a beautiful city. I love it and anything we can do to make it more beautiful, and for people to remember Halifax in a good way, I'm all for.
