Women in Film & Television Vancouver announces the first ever Summer Fest
On Aug. 26 and 27, the 19+ event, will take place at the VIFF Centre in Vancouver and will feature highlights and winners from the 2022 VIWFF that took place online back in March.
The in-person celebration features two themed evenings including Best of the Fest and Best of B.C. Shorts with highlights including festival award winners Tajo Hurrle’s I Am Leo, winner of Best Short and the Impact Award at this year’s festival and Zoe Hopkins’ feature film Run Woman Run winner of Best Feature, Best Screenplay and Best Performance at VIWFF 2022.Article content

The festival’s first night will be a Best of B.C. program. Films include Perfect Daughter, Srikandi, Militant Mother, Esther & Sai, and The Isobel Imprint. After the screening and Q&A’s, attendees are invited to stay and mingle with local talent and filmmakers at our mixer sponsored by Matrix Production Services.
Aug. 27 at 6 p.m. is the Best of Fest, which includes I Am Leo and Run Woman Run .
