Martina told Belfast Live: "I grieved while my mum was still alive, which was something I never thought could happen. I could never imagine being separated from mum while she was still alive. It was an enforced separation on 23 March 2020 - lockdown. She said: "I spent about an hour with my mum in her bedroom where we sat and laughed together. I made my mum look even more beautiful than she already was.

"At first, visiting her window was particularly difficult - it was an emotional and traumatic time. Weeks and months passed and emotions were deeply disrupted. The latest hearing in the UK Covid-19 Inquiry will assess if the pandemic was properly planned for and whether the UK was adequately ready for that eventuality.
