She was found holding one knife in each hand at waist level

Police turned up at Elizabeth Hefferman’s house in Kirkintilloch shortly before 10pm on April 4 last year.Officers found her holding two kitchen knives, one held in each hand, at waist level.

She was taken to a police station and cautioned and charged.Hefferman was then taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary but was discharged due to there being no medical reason for her to be there.Her lawyer said: “Thankfully she’s now stable. Perhaps what she requires is a supervision requirement.”
