Kranenberg said “initial reports” were that the victim and the suspect were unknown to each other but authorities were awaiting video footage from the streetcar to see how the incident unfolded.“Toronto Police is asking that if anyone was present on the streetcar at the time that this incident occurred and if you did not remain to speak with Toronto Police if you could please contact 14 Division at 416-808-1400,” she said.
The two employees were treated on the scene and a third employee, the bus driver, was traumatized by the attack, according to the TTC.The Amalgamated Transit Union, Local 113, said in a news release on Monday that the violence against their employees was “getting out of hand.”
