EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio – One woman was stabbed and one man was shot, seemingly during the same incident at an East Cleveland apartment building Sunday.
Officers responded about 12:20 p.m. to the Terrace Tower Apartments, on Terrace Road near the intersection of North Taylor Road, after receiving a call saying numerous people had been shot in the building. Police found the stabbed woman and the shot man when they arrived, aWhile ushering paramedics to the injured individuals, police officers were told by several people that the suspected shooter was still inside the building and firing shots, the news release states.
Authorities saw surveillance footage that showed the suspected shooter ran from the apartment building after the initial incident, police said. The investigation into the shooting continues.
