Jamieson said they received several calls about the shooting incident in Boniface Avenue, Montclair.
“On arrival, paramedics found multiple security companies in attendance and was shown where a female patient was found lying in the back of her vehicle. “Paramedics assessed the patient and found that she had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to her chest and head. Unfortunately, there was nothing more paramedics could do for her and she was declared deceased at the scene,” said Jamieson.Meanwhile, KwaZulu-Natal police have made a breakthrough and arrested nine suspects in connection with a robbery at a Nkandla mosque on 23 June.
It is understood the Muslim congregants were gathered at the place of worship in Nkandla on 23 June when they were accosted by a gang of robbers. Police spokesperson Brigadier Jay Naicker said the suspects − who were travelling in multiple vehicles − stormed the place of worship before holding up the congregants and robbing them of their valuables.
