An ex nursery worker launched her second book to help children brush their teeth taking away all the hassle.

An ex nursery worker has come up with a way of encouraging children to brush their teeth after finding it an "impossible task".

The psychology graduate from the University of Liverpool told the ECHO: "It took years of trial and error to get to this point so I’m extremely proud of myself for pushing on and achieving what I’ve done so far. I intend on having a series of stories to engage and encourage children to take care of their teeth.

Keysa said children's dental struggles are reflected in book one and the second; “Tommi Molar has a Toothache”, and they can then gain a sense of belonging and self-confidence. She said: "They learn they can overcome challenges like the characters in the books." When her daughter Amaris, now seven, saw the videos Samantha said: "She was so excited. Like she was part of it, and there are characters.

Samantha said: "I strongly encourage, from a young age, to make it a habit to brush teeth, and interact with the videos. Use The Gum Chums to your own advantage. Amaris added: "I like The Gum Chums because they help you brush your teeth. My favourite is Tommi Toothbrush."
