The Pennsylvania State Police fire marshal is investigating the cause of the Thursday night blaze.

A 54-year-old woman was found dead Thursday night after her York County home caught fire, authorities said. Coroner Pamela Gay said the woman, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at 11:23 p.m. at the scene of the fire, on the 500 block of Rockville Road in Jackson Township.Gay said the fire began around 8:30 p.m., and the woman’s body was found shortly before the coroner’s office was dispatched at 10:19 p.m.
Northern York County Regional police and the Pennsylvania State Police’s fire marshal are investigating the fire.
