Impairment believed to be a factor in the crash
PHOENIX — A woman is dead and a child is hospitalized following a crash Wednesday night near 51st Avenue and Interstate 10.
The driver of the second vehicle, identified as a man, and his two passengers, a woman and a 3-year-old boy, were taken to a hospital.The woman, identified by police as 38-year-old Debbie Alvarez, later died. The child, a boy, suffered serious injuries.
