A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage to a property.
A woman has been injured after a gas canister was thrown through the front window of her home. The incident happened at a house on Flaxwell Court in Northampton.
Between 5am and 6am on Saturday, September 2, the front window of the house was smashed. The suspect then left the scene but soon returned to through a blue gas canister through another window, injuring the woman inside. A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage to property valued under £5,000. He has been released on police bail.
Northamptonshire Police has launched an appeal for information following the incident. A spokesperson for the force said: "Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101 or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111. "Please quote incident number 23000545007 when providing any information to make sure it gets to the right person as quickly as possible."
