A total of eight cars crashed in two Hertfordshire motorway collisions in under an hour.
A road closure was put in place between junctions 8 and 9 while Herts Police, the East of England Ambulance Service, and Herts Fire and Rescue worked at the scene.The force was then called to the anticlockwise M25, near junction 23 , following another crash.One person sustained a minor injury. The vehicles have now been recovered.
At 3.14pm National Highways confirmed the M25 had reopened, meaning both motorways are flowing freely after the crashes.
