A TikTok video of a woman discovering a real croissant inside a croissant-shaped lamp purchased from the online marketplace Temu has gone viral. Neta Murphy, who received the lamp as a gift, initially noticed ants around it and then cracked it open to reveal a flaky, pastry-like interior.
A video of a woman went viral after she took a bite of a croissant-shaped lamp bought from Temu , a Chinese-owned online marketplace, and found that it was indeed a croissant.
“I came home from work after a hot day and there were like, hundreds of ants underneath it,” Ms Murphy says in the video. In her video, she cracks open the lamp like a piece of bread and displays the flaky, pastry-like inside. Crumbs fall out as she pokes it.The video garnered 13.4 million views as at Sept 10, and left netizens both baffled and amused by her action.Another TikToker, Hopehuff, joked: “I have a chicken nugget key ring from Temu and I’ve always been convinced it’s a real nugget in resin.”
