A woman died after being struck by a Greyhound bus late Thursday in downtown Dallas, police said.
Police said the 55-year-old woman was crossing Elm Street when she was struck by a Greyhound bus.
About 11:53 p.m, Dallas police said the Greyhound bus was moving northbound on 100 North Lamar Street and began to make a left turn onto Elm Street. The 55-year-old woman was on the crosswalk crossing Elm Street when police said she was struck by the bus and went under the “front and rear tandem tires.”
Police said the bus driver immediately stopped the bus and called 911. The woman, who has not been identified, died at the scene. Police said the Dallas County medical examiner’s office will identify the woman once her next of kin are notified.
