BREAKING: Police confirm a woman has died
Six fire engines and a height appliance were in attendance at the peak of the bonfire, which was "well-developed" by the time crews arrived to put it out.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.45pm on Thursday, 13 April, 2023, police were called to reports of a fire at a property on Belmont Road, Paisley. A 38-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have established a cordon in Belmont Road as they begin their investigations. The roof of the building has collapsed.
