A 35-year-old woman has been arrested after her dog left another woman with leg scars following an attack in Northampton. The two women are believed to have been fighting when one was bitten by the other's dog.
The incident took place at the Racecourse in Northampton town centre on Friday, September 2. There was a fair in the park over that weekend and Northamptonshire Police are seeking witnesses of the attack. Between 6.45pm and 7.15pm, a verbal altercation occurred between two women, according to police. During the confrontation, an unnamed woman was bitten by the other’s dog, suffering scratches to her legs and back.A 35-year-old woman was arrested in connection to the incident. However, a police spokesperson said she has since been released pending further inquiries.
