The Sudbury Community Arena was bustling with 3,339 excited Wolves fans to see their home team defeat the Oshawa Generals 5.1.The Wolves dominated every facet of the game, including shots on goal, attempting 30 to the Generals’ 20.
The Generals tied up the game less than a minute later, when Matthew Buckley landed his sixth of the season.Just under five and a half minutes into the middle frame, Kocha Delic scored his 16th goal of the season to give the Wolves a 2-1 lead. Less than two minutes later, Matthew Mania scored his eighth goal of the season to give the Wolves some insurance with a 3-1 lead.
The third period was a quiet one on the goal front, with the lone puck to hit the net coming off the stick of Matthew Mania, his second on the night and his 9th of the season to seal a definitive 5-1 win for the Sudbury Wolves.
