Spurs general manager Brian Wright says the team might still be busy in Thursday night's draft even after selecting shoo-in top pick Victor Wembanyama

From that perspective, Thursday at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn stands to become one of the most consequential and yet drama-free draft nights in Spurs history. That does not necessarily mean draft preparation work ended for the Spurs’ front office the night their pattern of ping-pong balls popped up May 16 in Chicago.Nor will the team-building project end the moment Wembanyama dons a Spurs cap on a Brooklyn stage Thursday.
Since the end of the NBA regular season in April, Wright and his staff have zeroed in on prospects who might be available at those spots.
