Wisconsin's governor has delayed in-person voting for Tuesday's election until June
Wisconsin’s governor delayed in-person voting for the state’s Tuesday election to June because of coronavirus concerns, despite resistance from the state legislature’s Republican leadership over changing the date of the primary.
Gov. Tony Evers, a Democrat, issued an executive order on Monday suspending in-person voting on April 7 and setting a new election date of June 9. Mr. Evers said that he took the action to preserve public safety in light of the coronavirus pandemic.
