The airline said extreme cold in Alberta continued to pose challenges, as did severe weather in the Vancouver area, where another winter storm system was forecasted for Thursday night, causing the airline to cancel all of its flights arriving and departing Vancouver International Airport until at least late afternoon Friday.
All flights arriving and departing Toronto’s Pearson International Airport are suspended Friday from 9 a.m. eastern time until the end of the day. Riley Manahan, whose multiple flights have been cancelled or delayed, waits to be picked up by friends at Calgary International Airport as extreme cold in Calgary and winter conditions in other parts of Canada has caused numerous flight delays and cancellations on Thursday, December 22, 2022. Manahan is hoping to drive to Kelowna since the next available flight for his destination will be after the new year.
