Long-range forecasters from AccuWeather say it's too early to stash away your snow shovels and snowblowers, despite the lack of snow this winter.
and other parts of the northern United States could face a rocky ride during the final six weeks of winter — with shots of cold air sweeping into our region in February and a “March shake-up” that could result in late winter storms.
“A March shake-up can occur,” AccuWeather senior meteorologist Paul Pastelok said in the company’s late-winter outlook. Like other parts of the eastern U.S., New Jersey has had a very quiet winter in terms of snow. Big storm systems have consistently moved too far north or too far west of our region, allowing warm air to push in over the Garden State.
