“We understand the desire to leave no stone unturned. However, the search process described in the report is complex, and comes with long-term human health and safety concerns that simply cannot be ignored,” Stefanson said in a July 6 statement explaining her decision. “Any search conducted at the Brady site should be conducted by professionals in the field of searching for missing persons and searchers must be provided appropriate PPE and training, as outlined in the feasibility study.”
