Timothy Peoples will return to the Northeast Dallas church to replace long-time Dallas faith leader George Mason.3:22 PM on Dec 6, 2022 CSTTimothy Peoples, current pastor of Emerywood Baptist Church in High Point, North Carolina, will become the Northeast Dallas church’s new senior pastor starting Jan. 22, according to a press release.
The decision was finalized Dec. 4 by a congregational vote, the church said. George Mason, who had been in his role since 1989, had his last sermon as pastor this past spring. Originally from Jones, Oklahoma, Peoples earned his masters of divinity from Yale University School of Divinity. He currently is a doctor of ministry candidate at the Candler School of Theology at Emory University.
