Preliminary investigations reveal that the petrol was being transported in a bakkie and was on a trailer. The container then dislodged and exploded after landing on the freeway. No causalities have been reported so far. Motorists are urged to avoid Malibongwe Drive as emergency services are cleaning up the spillage on the road.
