It’s lower to mid 90s for this afternoon with a good deal of sunshine... the difference between today and the last few days is an increase in humidity and a small, isolated rain chance.
Fortunately it won’t be unbearably muggy, with dew points likely staying below 70⁰. As a result, it won’t feel too much worse than what the actual temperature is. In other words, the heat index won’t be much higher than what the thermometer says. It’s forecast to be dry Friday and mainly dry Saturday with most of the tropical moisture and rain staying to our south. That moisture could swing up into Alabama Sunday and Monday, resulting in at least some minor rain and storm chances each day.This part of the forecast remains a bit uncertain due to long-range modeling still not agreeing on how things will play out when it comes to rain coverage. It’s very possible most of us stay dry Sunday and Monday.
