Will Mellor says he's doing Strictly for his mum after dad's tragic death: 'We need some positivity'
Strictly Come Dancing's Will Mellor has revealed he's doing the hit BBC One series for his mother after his "hero" father tragically passed away two years ago.
Will said of his decision to take part: "I have been asked before and it scared me to do anything like this just because I was worried if it would have a negative impact on my acting career or anything like that. Will sweetly added: "It's my mum's favourite show and she's had a terrible time of it. And I just thought, you know, we need some positivity.
Will, who is married to Michelle McSween with the couple sharing two children Renee, 14, and Jayden, 18, added: "It's a strange thing, even though we're in front of a camera, your family all go on a journey with us.
